National Administrative Professionals’ Day, also known as Secretaries Day or Admin Day,  is meant to recognize the professionals who keep an office and executives going.

The observance first launched in 1952 when U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Charles Sawyer proclaimed June as National Secretaries Week. In 2000, the day was changed to the third Wednesday in April and name was changed to Administrative Professionals day .
